Importing a new case
To import a new case:
1. Click New Patient
, then select the Prosthetics AI
module.
2. Fill in the patient data to create a new case.
3. Click Import Model
to begin.
4. Select your STL model file and specify whether it is an upper or lower scan, then load it.
5. Repeat the same steps to load the antagonist model if needed.
Fine-Tune Model Orientation
You can adjust the model orientation along the X, Y, and Z axes and align it precisely to the occlusal plane for better control during planning.
· Upload your model in Crown AI.
· Once the model preview appears, click Fine-tune
· Adjust the model using the X, Y, and Z axis controls.
Align the model to the occlusal plane until it’s perfectly oriented
Generating the Margin Line
Select the
Crown AI
icon.Choose the models corresponding to the upper and lower arches.
Select the prosthetic type you want to design.
Choose the specific teeth you will be working on.
Click
Generate Margin Line
to proceed.
Editing the Margin Line
After the margin line is created:
Select a margin to edit it.
Move, add, or delete points as needed until the margin is correctly adjusted.
Generating and Editing the Design
After editing the margin lines, click
Generate Design
to create the restoration automatically.To make adjustments, click
Sculpt
, then select an editing mode.This will activate a brush tool, allowing you to sculpt and refine the design in real time.
Click
Export prosthesis
to save the design as an STL file
Adjust Crown Parameters
You can manually edit the minimal thickness of the crown and the cement gap to match your prosthetic and manufacturing requirements.
· After the margin line is generated, the parameters will appear in the toolbar.
· Adjust the minimal thickness and cement gap as needed.
· Click "Create Design" to generate the crown.
· You can also hover over the info icon after crown generation to view details about these parameters.
Measuring Tool in Cross-section View
You can now use the measuring tool in the cross-section view of the Crown AI module with an enhanced and more intuitive interface.
Protection of the Fitting Surface
The fitting surface of the crown is now automatically protected while you edit other surfaces, ensuring accurate fit during adjustments.
Integration with Alpha AI Printers Now Available in Crown AI
Crown AI is now integrated with Alpha AI printers, allowing direct access to the printing software from within the module.
