Automated guide design
Select the model, and from the Generate guide module
Click Start. Choose the Guide Type
. Choose the printer
you will use, and the measurements will be automatically adjusted, or choose custom printers and manually adjust the guide measurements. Make sure that undercut generation
is automated. The selection tools will be automatically activated. Choose the Guide selection tool.
Mark the first and last teeth in the guide seating area. The guide seating area will be marked. Make manual edits if needed using the brush selection tool. Click Generate guide.
Glue hole
This is a tool to open a hole in the guide to allow the excess glue used to secure the sleeve our of the guide. Click on Glue hole
and a small sphere will be added to the working field. Move the sphere to the desired location and click apply
.
Timing
This is a tool to mark the proper position at which you should stop the implant insertion. Select the implant, click ctrl, and select the guide, and the timing tool
will be activated. According to your implant system, mark the correct position of ‘timing’ and click apply.
Buccal window
For system that requires lateral insertion and for patients who have limited mouth opening you can open a buccal window in the guide to make a buccal path for the drill. Mark the implant and choose Buccal window
, then move the cube to the position you want and adjust it's depth and click apply.
Designing Printable Cast
To create a base for a model, mainly for designing a printable cast, select the model and choose Create Base
. Automatically detecting undercuts and hollow base will be marked, which gives you optimum choices for casts’ printing. But if you need to deactivate these options for any reason, just unselect them before creating the base.
